CELTIC have been linked with a move for Stoke City attacker Tom Ince whose fortunes in the game have been on a downward trajectory since his £10m move to Stoke in 2019.

Ince, 28, has only made seven Championship appearances for Stoke this term with Michael O’Neill preferring other options in his side.

Football League World claim Celtic are interested in bringing in Ince in January, likely a loan deal.

Ince is in the final 18 months of his Stoke deal and should he impress, would be available at a cut price come the summer.

Celtic’s season is pretty much over and planning for next season has to be the priority. However, if we don’t start getting results, second place could be in jeopardy.

We need some help for this team, some players who can come in and refresh the side to make sure, if anything else, we finish strong.

Would Ince help the cause? The jury is out; playing so little game time can’t be a good thing.
