Celtic have been linked with a move for full-back Jere Uronen according to reports in Italy.

Tutto Mercato explains Celtic have shown interest in the Finnish international who currently plays for Genk.

Jere’s main positions is left-back but can play left side of midfield, meaning full-back would be right up his street.

The Finnish international has two-years left of his Genk deal and would cost Celtic a transfer fee of some sort.

It’s no secret Celtic are putting all their energy into finding a player for that side of the pitch. The transfer window closes on October 5 – there’s still time to do business. From a Celtic fans perspective, if we could get a left-sided player in and keep the players currently on our books, most would be satisfied.

The big thing from Celtic’s point of view is holding on to their best players. Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer and Olivier Ntcham have all been players of interest in the rumour mill. Keeping those players, especially Odsonne is imperative.
