CELTIC has been linked with a move for Fabain Delph after it emerged the Englishman is to quit Manchester City this summer.

As the news broke the bookies put Celtic among the favourites to sign the player, but does this have any substance.

The fact that Brendan Rodgers has spoken about bringing in quality, especially in the middle of the park this has not gone unnoticed by the bookies. Any midfielder with a reputation who is moving on this summer will be linked with Celtic, even if there is very little linking the player to the club.

Fabian moved to City under a cloud from Villa two seasons ago, telling Villa fans he was staying at the club only to move on when a better offer came in.

It remains to be seen if Rodgers will look in the overinflated market of the Premier League, the wages alone are enough for Celtic to leave very well alone. The City midfielder has a contract till 2020, so there will be no option of a free transfer, which should exclude Celtic from proceedings.

  1. Whoever broke this so called story about Delph is talking complete and utter rubbish, not a snowballs chance in hell of the likes of him coming to lennoxtown

  2. Would really like to see him pass through the park head gates.
    Seems like another mark viduka.
We don’t need them kinds only people who want to actually come put a show on every week

  3. Should go for Fabio Borini Brendan will get in a strong Defender, midfielder and a top top striker I’m sure .

  4. Being linked with every player in Europe and BR will only take in 2 or 3. Most of the players being linked are pish. There are only about 3 that I would consider for the squad… Solanke, Musonda and Onyekuru and I don’t think any of them will be signed.
