CELTIC have been linked with Schalke 04 frontman Franco Di Santo as Brendan Rodgers tries to improve his current squad.

The Argentinian, who can’t be described by a prolific goalscorer by any stretch of the imagination is inexplicably linked with replacing Moussa Dembele should a late bid for the strike come in.

As transfer rumours go, it may be wishful thinking, but it would be hard to envision a scenario where Celtic were to lose a top striker and replace him with a guy who has a woeful record in-front of goal nearly everywhere he has gone.

When the rumour surfaced yesterday, many Celtic fans were underwhelmed as are we.

This could be a classic case of a football agent using Celtic as leverage against new deals and other transfer moves.

  1. Genius move! A non-scoring Centre forward is just what we need. This guy is garbage and if this shocker is sanctioned someone inside Celtic Park needs their jotters. Better with the youth team players than this clown. this is only mentioned because the guy is free or cheap. Celtic seem to be unaware of the truest words ever spoken ‘Generally, you get what you pay for’.
