Celtic loanee Adam Montogomery was lucky to walk away from a wild tackle at the hands of Ryan Jack at Ibrox after turning out for his loan club St Johnstone.
The Hoops Academy star recently returned to St Johnstone after the two clubs struck a deal to keep Adam at McDermid Park for the rest of this season.
Adam has been playing regularly for St Johnstone, enjoying extended first-team opportunities.

However, at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, the youngster was subject to an atrocious tackle from Ryan Jack. The Rangers player lunged in and caught Adam studs up on the ankle. At first, Collum gave a yellow card for the incident. VAR told the whistler to go over to the screen and look at the challenge again. Collum looked at it at least ten times and saw the freeze frame below.
Ryan Jack just did this to Adam Montogomery. Willie Collum was asked to go view the footage on the screen. His decision was to stick with a yellow. pic.twitter.com/l3gw96xjpW

It’s reckless and dangerous. After seeing the clip repeatedly, Willie decided to keep to his original decision and not send off the Ibrox midfielder.
How Willie has watched the footage back and not deemed this to be a red card is beyond comprehension. His status as one of the best officials we have is utterly embarrassing.
He is not one of the best officials we have……. He is one of the best officials SEVCO has .
Wild rumours going about that collum gave st johnstone a throw in! hard to believe
