It would be fair to say that on-loan Celtic midfielder Oliver Ntcham’s move to French side Marseille hasn’t worked out with a total of six appearances so far.

Since the new boss, Jorge Sampaoli become the manager at the beginning of March, Ntcham has only played around 47 minutes of football in seven games.

When assessing the 25-year old midfielders chances of staying in France, French Outlet La Provence was very critical of after his struggles to break into the Marseille side in the last few months.

They said; “All you have to do is watch the behaviour of the former Atlético Mineiro manager “Jorge Sampaoli)”

Because of “the former France U21 international’s inability to seemingly understand what was asked of him.”

As we approach the end of the season it looks more and more likely that we will see the Frenchman return to Celtic Park.

The loan move to his homeland clearly hasn’t worked out, so Ntcham’s future appears to be up in the air at the moment.

There is a chance that he comes back and a new manager may see him as someone with the potential to be part of his plans or the club will once again move him on, in a permanent deal as he approaches the final year of his contract.
