Boli Bolingoli has posted a snap from his hospital bed this week after undergoing knee surgery.

The Belgian has been out on loan to Istanbul Basaksehir FK since Celtic offloaded him in the summer.

Bolingoli broke tight pandemic rules and had two of Celtic’s SPFL games postponed as a result.

The club were furious and shipped the player out as soon as they found a taker.

Boli is due back at Celtic in the summer and right now, while Neil Lennon is in charge, he might not be the hot seat come next season.

If that’s the case, every player will be looked at with a fresh eye by whoever’s on charge.

Could he make a successful comeback to the club under those circumstances?

Boli has played well for Istanbul and was part of the side who beat Man Utd in the Champions League. Only time will tell if he had a Celtic future or if he will be moved on permanently this summer.
