Celtic loanee Kerr McInroy came to Ayr United’s aid last night, as the midfielder added another goal to his tally for the season, scoring a late equaliser against Hamilton Accies.

The 21-year old has spent two spells out on loan this campaign, heading to Airdrie in the first half of the season, which saw him back four goals and three assists in his short time at the Penny Cars Stadium.

His performances also earned the midfielder another loan move up a league into the Championship with Ayr United, and he is continuing to produce fine numbers for the Honest Men in a crucial part of the season.

McInroy added another fine strike to the collection for this season with a 95th-minute equaliser at home against Hamilton Accies, saving his side from the jaws of defeat late on.

Some fans may be aware of the youngster, who played a small part in pre-season during Neil Lennon’s final season as boss, at an unfamiliar left-back position. But, he couldn’t earn a spot within the first team and also spent last campaign out on loan.

However, McInroy has gone on to impress many sides in the Scottish lower leagues with his performances and will likely have plenty of options should he choose to move on in the summer.

Currently, his contract with the Hoops is set to expire in the summer, with the club having the option of a further year.

McInroy has spoken out about his contract openly this season, with it looking like he will decide to move on and further his career elsewhere.

If he continues his fine run of form, I am sure he will have plenty of bigger clubs in this country keeping an eye on his progress.
