Celtic loanee Yosuke Ideguchi has suffered yet another setback as it is being reported that he has suffered a lateral malleolar fracture in his right ankle [@AvispaF].

The midfielder is set to be out for three months which is yet again another huge disappointment for him.

He returned back to his homeland during the January transfer window to join J-League side Avispa Fukuoka on a year-long loan deal.

It was injury which set him back when he joined Ange Postecoglou’s side after he suffered a horrible injury when playing against Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Cup [Read more here].

That kept him out for the majority of the second part of the season meaning that games were few and far between. It was important that he got some minutes under his belt which is why a loan move made perfect sense.

During the summer, he once again suffered yet another injury which likely moved the Hoops in the direction of Oliver Abildgaard as a stop gap before signing Tomoki Iwata.

He is looking likely to be the only player that Postecoglou has signed who doesn’t seem to have been a hit which is unfortunate due to the injuries he has suffered.

Hopefully Ideguchu returns back to fitness sooner rather than later.
