Former Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre can comfortably be described as a Celtic fanatic, stemming back to his days with the club.

The now retired left-back spent two spells at Celtic and became a big fan-favourite during his time in the hoops.

The wee man from Honduras bought into the club in a big way during his time in Glasgow.

Celtic won 7 league titles, 4 Scottish cups and 3 league cups while Izzy was in the building. Signed under Neil Lennon, he was quickly taken in by the Celtic support and remains a fan to this day.

Don’t believe us? Long after his Celtic spell is ending, the player continues to support the bhoys from afar.

On Instagram this week, the wee man was pictured wearing some of his Celtic gear.

And this isn’t gear he got while playing for the club, this is stuff Emilio has ordered in from the new Adidas stock!

There are so many players who come to Celtic and leave with a passion for the club that stays with them long after retirement. Playing in front of 60k Celtic fans in some of the most passionate and intense nights of football you’re ever likely to play in can really leave a mark.

Izzy was a great servant for Celtic and it’s brilliant to see he’s still looking as fit as ever, even after retiring from the game.
