CELTIC are still interested in Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo.

The Hoops have been linked to the Ghanaian internationalist throughout this year, but nothing has ever come from the speculation. It was stated that the Parkhead side could be proved out of a move, but with his contract expiring next year, Postecoglou’s side is keeping a close eye on the player, according to the Sunderland Echo.

The striker had a decent record in front of goal last term, but nothing spectacular, scoring eight goals and registering twelve assists.

The player is currently sidelined with an injury, with a return date set for September.

Good Move for Postecgolou and Celtic?

Semenyo wouldn’t be coming to Celtic to take the starting jersey, that’s for sure. He’d likely be the third choice for the manager, and the move would only happen if Albian Ajeti departed Celtic.

He seems like a mediocre player, but with Ange’s guidance, Semenyo could be a decent squad player for the Hoops.

It’ll be interesting to see if Celtic does make a move for the Bristol City striker when his contract expired; after all, it would be a low-risk signing with no fee involved.
