Reports today suggest Celtic have made a bid for Dundee Utd Stuart Armstrong and that bid has been rejected by the Tannadice club.
It’s believed that Celtic made an offer in the region of £1.5million for the midfielder but that doesn’t seem to be enough to entice United to sell one of their best players.
The Dundee club will already be without Gary MacKay Steven next season after the winger signed a pre-contract agreement with Celtic earlier this month.
It’s been no secret that Deila is very interested in Armstrong but until now there had been no formal bid.
Dundee United are in the driving seat with this particular deal and know they don’t need to sell. They will wait patiently and only let the player go if it matches their valuation.
