Celtic got tight on their press conference with Scott Brown on Tuesday after Neil Lennon’s headline making media move on Monday.

The club’s PR team were on high alert on Tuesday and were very careful not to make any more headlines with the pre-match player interview. It’s little wonder they chose the captain Scott Brown to do the conference.

The PR team clamped down on follow up questions for the captain and told journalists, attending by zoom they had one question each because of time constraints.

It’s likely the hierarchy have stepped in after Lennon’s outburst on Monday and told the PR team not to let any other conference get out of hand.

You can listen to the interview on BBC Sportsound with one of Celtic’s PR team even making air to tell the one journalist they couldn’t ask a follow up.

It’s usually common practice in politics, the less follow up questions you are allowed to ask the less you can dig or get the person you’re interviewing to give you a more in-depth answer.

Usually this doesn’t go on at Celtic conferences.
