According to reports, former Benfica consultant Antoine Ortega has joined Celtic’s sports science department.
The Portuguese club employed Ortega as a data consultant, and he has been brought in to Celtic to assist with player recruitment and opposition analysis.
According to the Daily Mail, he has been given the necessary work visa to allow him to begin working in Scotland.

Ortega has a Master’s degree in data science from the University of Paris-Saclay and works as a football data scientist at Smartcoach.
The Frenchman also founded a company called Dunk the Data – delving into basketball data analysis.
