But he’s not the only Scottish-based youth player that the Hoops are after, with the Hoops looking to hold talks with four more players.

Celtic are looking to Aberdeen’s Lewis Pirie, Motherwell’s Jonjo Webb, Hamilton’s Joshua McDonald and Partick Thistle’s Hayden Borland. The Daily Record reports that the Hoops are looking to hold talks soon.

If these players do make the move to Parkhead, they’ll likely join the B team set-up in the Lowland League.

After 18 months of Celtic having a team in the league, there’s yet to be a player to make the step up to the first team, leaving some fans concerned. However, it’s got to be said it takes time for players to make the step, but a few are close.

Tobi Oluwayemi was involved with a few first-team squads last season, appearing on the bench multiple times. Rocco Vata and Bosun Lawal have been with the first team in Australia and Portugal, with the manager keen to get a closer look at the two players.
