Celtic have valued hoops star, Odsonne Edouard, at a whopping £40 million on the market as they look to scare off teams from biding this summer. according to Football Insider.

The Glasgow giants super striker has had a massive part to play on the journey to 10-in-a-row so far, scoring many goals and making his name on the Scottish scene. Celtic showed massive faith in signing the 22-year old for a record-breaking £9m two years ago.

The board have knowledge of the striker’s popularity but agree that Celtic won’t budge for bids until the hoops have reached 10 consecutive league titles in a row unless the record-breaking valuation is met. If a club did come in for Eddy at that price, it would be a record-breaking transfer for the club and would beat the current record of £25m for Kieran Tierney by £15m.

Right now Celtic have four main strikers; Edouard, Griffiths, Klimala and Bayo and look unlikely to sign any more for the time being. But Celtic have bigger priorities, they are on the lookout for a goalkeeper and a midfielder which looks to be taking priority at the moment.
