ANGE POSTECOGLOU is full of praise for Celtic’s new man, Reo Hatate. The midfielder had an exceptional debut against Hibs before another outstanding game, with the other Edinburgh team the opposition.

At Tynecastle, Hatate controlled the middle of the park and opened his Celtic scoring account.

His new boss, who identified him and brought him to Parkhead, was full of praise for the former Kawasaki Frontale man. Speaking to Celtic TV, the Aussie boss said;

“Reo had set a high bar after the first game but I knew he would back it up. It was a super goal and I thought he played really well.

“During his career, he’s played as a striker as well, so he’s got that in his locker and there’s more to come from him.”

It was an exceptional performance, the midfielder has stunned fans since arriving at Celtic. Looking at the price Celtic paid for his services, which was about £1.5 million, the club has got a gem in their hands. It won’t be long before European teams come knocking his he maintains this level of performance.

It’s interesting that Ange references that the 24-year-old has played striker, if things come to the worst and Giakoumakis gets injured Celtic might have a trick up their sleeve, I certainly wouldn’t mind a couple more strikes like that!
