While reports suggest that Celtic have been holding talks in London this week as part of their search for a new permanent manager, CeltsAreHere understands that two of the names most heavily linked with the job have not been involved in those discussions.

Sources have confirmed to CeltsAreHere that Kjetil Knutsen, the Bodo/Glimt boss, is currently in Bergen with his family and has not travelled to London for any interviews. Knutsen remains fully focused on his club duties, and it’s believed he is likely to stay in Norway, with no indication of an imminent move.

Similarly, Nicky Hayen, the Club Brugge manager, has not held talks or interviews with Celtic this week. Despite continued speculation linking him to the Parkhead post, there has been no contact between Hayen and the club’s hierarchy so far.

Celtic’s process to find Brendan Rodgers’ successor is ongoing, with multiple names under consideration, but as it stands, neither Knutsen nor Hayen have been part of this week’s London meetings.

The club have held initial meetings over the past few days.

They will also sit down with interim staff Martin O’Neill and Shaun Maloney to discuss their immediate futures over the coming days.

Hopefully, some communication can be relayed soon.
