Over the last few months or so, the frustration between some fans has grown over the appointment of who the next manager of the club will be.

The red hot rumour that appears to still be on the go, is that former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe remains favourite for the job and is in talks about doing so as the Daily Record provided the latest update on the Englishman.

According to MailSport, Howe is still in talks with the club and there are even suggestions that the club’s board expected to make an announcement this week. However, it appears that at this stage no announcement of Howe’s future is expected and reports of the deal being done are ‘premature’.

“But while Eddie Howe remains red hot favourite to take over, MailSport understands reports claiming the deal is done are premature.

“The former Bournemouth boss was expected to be unveiled by the Hoops board this week.

“But while sources close to the negotiations claim talks are ongoing, it’s understood that an announcement on Howe’s future isn’t imminent.”

The whole Howe situation continues to rumble on, several weeks after the first reports came out about him being in the running for the job.

Since then, there has been little talk which could be seen as both a bad and a good thing, depending on what way you look at it.

There are many factors that could be holding this appointment up, whether that be backroom staff or previous contracts, the only people who will truly know is those involved.

Fingers crossed it isn’t too long before we hear more positive news on the manager front.

  1. If Howe is looking to recruit any of the Bournemouth back room staff that could be delayed by them being in the play off. His targets might prefer to be at an EPL club if Bournemouth are successful and win the third promotion spot.

  2. Or perhaps Lawwell and Desmond are just useless and couldnt care less. What club allows such an important role to drag on so long? Desmond and Lawwell out now!

  3. If this is not a done deal then it’s time to give howe an ultimatum either signs within the week or we move on.
