Freelance sports journalist Peter O’Rourke has revealed Matt O’Riley has PASSED his Celtic medical ahead of his move to Glasgow as the Hoops get set to land the MK Dons star.
The news came out of the blue on Wednesday and it’s been moving at lightning pace ever since. Celtic handling their business quickly and efficiently. The only blemish on the transfer window so far is the leak about Riley McGree being almost a done deal until Middlesbrough upped their financial compensation.
Ange spoke at the time about wanting players who are hungry to play for Celtic and McGree wasn’t in that category.
Matt O’Riley on the other hand turned down good wages to stay at Fulham to head down the divisions to play for MK Dons. The Midfielder wanted to bet on himself and his own ability at first team level, knowing if he put the work in a big move would come.
If the deal to Celtic gets done, it 100% vindicates Matt’s stance.
