Celtic midfielder Aaron Mooy is set to start for Australia in their opening World Cup match against current holders France.
The 32-year old midfielder has been building up his game time under former Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou in preparation for the tournament in recent weeks having made 20 appearances so far this season for the Scottish champions.

It was his first taste of Champions League football which he will hope to have prepared him for the Group D encounters against France, Denmark and Tunisia.
France will be without star man Karim Benzema who has been ruled out of the tournament due to a thigh injury [BBC Sport]. Although Celtic faced Real Madrid twice, both players were never on the park at the same time and won’t be again tonight.
There is much more of an Aussie connection for Celtic fans than Aaron Mooy with a number of former Hoops players having played for the Socceroos. To add to that is former Australia boss Ange Postecoglou along with the legend that is Harry Kewell who will both be cheering on their national side tonight.
Tonight’s match should be an interesting encounter and will give Celtic fans a first chance to watch one of our current players live at the World Cup with Cameron Carter-Vickers not featuring for the USA in their 1-1 draw with Wales.
