CALLUM MCGREGOR has told the Celtic fans that the players are starting to click again as the bhoys prepare for a ‘battle’ with Aberdeen this weekend.

McGregor and his teammates have taken much criticism this season for their poor start in front of goal and their aimless use of possession.

The Scottish midfielder believes the club are working towards getting back to an acceptable level and that the slump is down to the forward players not being up to scratch.

“The goals and the finishing will come. It’s important to take that into the weekend.” McGregor told the media.

“Ultimately the creative side of the game lies with the forward players. You saw the other night it’s beginning to click again with the number of chances.”

“Aberdeen always come and make it difficult. It will be a battle.”

Celtic and Aberdeen go toe to toe for the first time this season with both clubs not getting off to the best of starts.

However, both clubs have made it through to the League Cup semi-final and both clubs know they can play much better than they have.

If Celtic play like they did at Kilmarnock or in the first half of the St Johnstone game then Aberdeen could have a real chance of getting their second victory in a row at Celtic Park.

The Dons won the last game of the season at Celtic Park with the bhoys having nothing to play for on trophy day.
