Celtic take on Hibernian on Monday evening and by then they could be 22 points off the pace in the SPFL. If we’re going to mount a challenge or even exert a little bit of pressure then we need to start winning convincingly.

The Celtic fear factor isn’t there, if anything, players know if we concede in the game we’re likely to make more mistakes.

Neil Lennon has chopped and changed his side all season but now is the time for a bit of consistency and while we didn’t beat Rangers, we certainly should have. Before that game we had been on a winning run with the diamond formation, something the manager should stick with for Monday.

It relies on the energy of Soro and the creativity of David Turnbull, I expect both to start against the Hibees.

Edouard and Griffiths to continue their partnership is the easiest and most successful option we can use.

In defence, we have major issues; Jullien is out long term, Bitton is suspended, Duffy has missed training all week, which leaves Ajer, Welsh and Elhamed. We know Ajer is going to start so who will pair with him? It’s not quite a full blown defensive crisis but it’s getting there and it’s far from ideal.

Elhamed recently refuted claims he was looking to leave the club even though he IS feeling homesick. Will he get his chance as a centre-back or will young Welsh get the nod?
