There has been a lot of talk about the Celtic and Man City partnership.

Over the years it’s yielded some good players for Celtic and we currently have young Daniel Arzani at the club for two seasons, his injury is unfortunate.

Celtic always keep an eye on the youth scene at City and see if there are any bargains to be had.

It just so happens there could be a massive bargain come January if the Manchester City fail to sign Brahim Diaz to a new deal.

The player made his senior debut when he was 17 but is stalling on a new contract.

The midfielder also scored a brace for the club in the league CUp against Fulham earlier this month.

The 19-year-old former Malaga trainee has received rave reviews from many quarters and believes he’s ready for first team football.

With City’s chequebook though, they rarely field players who are not the finished article and Brahim falls into that category.

The midfielder can play left or right wing and can also play as an attacking midfielder – a massive asset to a Brendan Rodgers side.

Brahim will be available to talk to any club in January if it gets that far then there will be a queue for his services.

If City ties Diaz up to a new deal, there could be scope for another loan move (I heard you groan there) but we should never turn up our nose at a real talent if we can land them for any length of time.
