Celtic are set to offer a new deal to first team debutant, Cameron Harper it has emerged.

The midfielder started his first game for the club under trying circumstances on Monday. While he didn’t have the best game, he did show signs there’s a player in there.

Cameron is on the last six months of his deal and is free to talk to other clubs at the moment.

Celtic want to quickly tie up the 19-year-old to keep any interested clubs at bay according to RecordSport.

Harper was talent spotted in the US by Tommy Burns son. It won him his move to Celtic and he’s been working hard to try and make the breakthrough since.

His debut came at a time where the club is toiling and through some horrible decisions, 13 players are out isolating. There could be a future for the bhoy at Parkhead if he can get more game time.

It remains to be seen who Neil Lennon will go with when we’re back to full strength but with the league now sadly gone, we have to look to the future.
