CELTIC have held talks with the Derby over a move for their defender Max Lowe according to reports.

The left back spent last season on loan at Aberdeen and caught the attention of Neil Lennon last term. RecordSport has revealed Neil Lennon is getting a contingency plan in place if Kieran Tierney is sold for big money this summer.

The report reads:

The Parkhead outfit have held initial talks with Derby over their left-back as the interest ramps up in their prized and in-demand Scotland star.

Manager Neil Lennon has a number of left-back options if Tierney goes and Record Sport understands an inquiry has been made over the availability of Lowe on a short-term or permanent basis.

Celtic are in need of backup in this position regardless if Kieran Tierney is sold or not and this is a move the club could make either way when it comes to what the squad needs.

Supporters are anxious and have no trust or faith in the board when it comes to trying to keep Kieran here until our ten in a row tilt has either been won or failed.

Supporters are not daft and we no the model Celtic work within nowadays, but getting rid of one of the best players the Celtic training academy has ever produced two seasons shy of ten in a row would be a major kick in the teeth.
