LEIGH GRIFFITHS’ future is still undecided but Dundee are keen to cut his current loan spell short.

The striker joined the Tayside club in the summer and looked set to serve the final year on his Celtic contract away from the club.

However, with Dundee wanting to cut their financial contribution to the player with just two goals for the club, Leigh could be returning to Celtic where his contract may come to an end. This would leave the striker with options, becoming a free agent.

McPake said;

“He trained today and has trained all week.

He scored in a game against Forfar on Tuesday night and set up two goals as well.

We are still in dialogue with Celtic, it is ongoing and we are awaiting clarity on that.

There is dialogue going on with Celtic regarding a couple of things.”

The manager also confirmed that Leigh played well in the club’s bounce match against Forfar.

It is clear Dundee are looking to bring in another striker to the club, with both Jason Cummings and Leigh Griffiths looking to be on their way out.

For both parties, it is better if a decision is made sooner rather than later.

  1. If he has got no place to go. He can train at Bobby Lennoxtown. He will probably end up in China, or somewhere warm. Super leigh is now Super Sleigh. As he has far too many parcels on board. Nice knowing you. Enjoy your retirement.
