CELTIC PARK will not be a venue for the EURO 2028 competition. The UK and Ireland look to be successful in their bid to host the competition. [Football Scotland]

The Scottish FA confirmed that Hampden would be the only venue in Scotland to host a game. Celtic Park is a great stadium, better than most stadiums south of the border, so why it’s been snubbed is beyond me.

It’ll be interesting to see what venues elsewhere in Britain and Ireland are used; we’ll likely see most of the games played in England.

For years, fans have had their complaints about Hampden. The pitch feels miles away from the stands, and there are only limited seats with a good view.

Only four games will be played at the national stadium, three of which will be group games.

Russia are set to Rival the UK and Ireland’s bid to host the EURO 2028, but with their country’s invasion of Ukraine, this should be off the cards.
