LEE OCONNOR has yet to play a first team game for Celtic. Lee came in the same time as Jeremie Frimpong and since then, Jeremie made it to the first team and then was sold for £13m to Bayer Leverkusen.

Lee has been left behind by the Neil Lennon era after coming in with a lot of praise. At the time, we spoke to many Manchester Utd fans and a couple of podcasts who were surprised Lee was let go by the club.

The defender has made his full Ireland debut while at Celtic not playing games and he’s now made the Irish squad for their summer games.

Stephen Kenny has deemed Lee good enough for a place in his side as he looks to rebuild for the future.

Given Celtic’s on rebuild, Lee will seriously be considered for a place in a new look Celtic squad and has the credentials to show he can make the grade at Celtic Park.

If Lee gets his chance under the next manager, he could very well make Neil Lennon look extremely foolish.

There are so many players who are coming back from loans who the Irishman didn’t want at the club, there will be at least one or two who prove him wrong.

  1. Mmmm-no idea where you get 13m paid for Frimpong? Media all report that we received 11.5m-pretty decent but not 13m.
O’Connor may be decent but its one man’s opinion against another.
Shved, Connell, Hendry, K Dembele, E Henderson, Soro all players who weren’t deemed good enough but most will get a fresh start under a new manager so its up to them now
