Efe Ambrose has been a constant in the Nigeria squad since his first cap back in 2008.

The player has went onto collect 46 caps for his Country and has won the African cup of Nations where the defender played 5 out of the 6 games in that competition eventually being named in the team of that tournament.

But he has now failed to make the 27 man squad for his country’s double header with Bolivia and South Africa after receiving some scathing criticism from his last few performances in the green of Nigeria.

Nigeria Number 2 Amokachi is currently picking the squad after manager Stephen Keshi was suspended by the Nigerian FA and he has found no room for the Celtic player.

Efe has been used sparingly by Celtic but has played a lot of games recently due to injury and was part of the team that lifted the League cup last Sunday.

For now he will have to wait and see if he has an international future.
