Today is D-Day for Vakoun Bayo as he gets set for a scan which could rule the player out for the rest of the year.
The striker has missed Celtic’s last two games due to a knee injury and will find out later on today the extent of the injury – Lennon confirmed:
?️ NL: “Bayo’s seeing a specialist on Monday so we’ll know then if he requires surgery or not. Griffiths’ back now training so he’s not far away.” #BetfredCup

Bayo has had a couple of games here and there but nothing substantial to this point and the jury is still very much out on the striker.
The news from Neil that Leigh Griffiths is almost there is great news for the club. Leigh has been out of action since late August and his last appearance was coming on for a sub appearance against Hearts for Bayo who would’ve had two goals that day if Hearts weren’t hell bent in sticking the ball in their own net.
Celtic head into a busy November and December fixture list and having Leigh back will be a big boost.
