We’re not in the business of looking for negatives when it comes to Celtic. We are a fan media site who always want to be supportive of the club and the players.

However, we’re not the Celtic View and when there’s something up for discussion we won’t shy way from it. There are fans out there who take a more optimistic outlook and get almost offended when they hear negativity about any Celtic player. This is just an opinion, but one that i believe is worth putting out there.

Ange Postecoglou has been building a great Celtic squad and we look strong in a lot of positions.

However, the drop off from Josip Juranovic to Osaze Urhoghide is incredibly concerning. Saturday’s friendly against Rapid Vienna showed Osaze is nowhere near ready to even displace Anthony Ralston as second choice right back.

We know it’s early in the season, but having looked at Osaze on his loan spell, and the sample we have of him playing for Celtic – he just doesn’t look like a Celtic player.

If we find ourselves in a scenario where both right backs are injured, I’d be terrified of playing a Champions League game with the former Sheffield Wednesday man in the side.

Celtic should be looking to move Osaze on this summer. A loan deal is more likely but if they can get him a permanent deal – it should be welcomed.

Some players can’t make the grade at Celtic. We don’t see Ange wanting to use the defender much at all.

We’d be delighted to be proven wrong, but we have to be realistic and ruthless in search of a squad who can do damage in Europe.
