CELTIC may have gone out of Europe on Thursday night, but the Celtic fans will back you all the way if you give every ounce for the cause and that’s exactly what happened in Spain against Valencia.

One reporter outside the ground commented the fans were serenading the players onto the bus after the defeat.

The bhoys were by far the better team in the opening exchanges of the game and only started to fall away after an unfortunate red card for Jeremy Toljan.

Even with the pressure mounting the bhoys still tried to carve out openings and were unlucky not to take the lead through Kristoffer Ajer on the night.

The game finally caught up with them and Valencia managed to get the goal which killed off the tie once and for all.

There were a couple of stand out performances from Hayes, Bain and Ajer with the bhoys running their socks off to try and help overturn the result from the first leg.

The Celtic fans appreciated their efforts and you saw that after the match in the way the fans responded to the players.
