CELTIC overcame an Aberdeen side intent to play anti-football at every turn during their game on Boxing day.

The Dons players were briefed to go in hard and defend as deep as possible to try and stifle the Scottish Champions.

Not only did Celtic overcome those parameters, but they also had to go above and beyond after some suspect officiating from the consistently atrocious Wille Collum.

The three points looked to have been cruelly snatched away from Celtic with five minutes to go when Graeme Shinnie took an embarrassing and blatant dive in Celtic’s area; instead of being rewarded with a yellow card the Aberdeen captain was handed a penalty which was dispatched by Sam Cosgrove.

With a sense of injustice hanging in the air, Celtic and in-particular Edouard took the bull by the horns to score a magnificent effort as well as help set up the fourth.

After the League Cup final the Aberdeen captain told the Celtic players they lacked class for their post-match celebrations.

Shinnie’s dive today was a shocker and a clear and blatant attempt at cheating.

Classy. Eh.
