The Celtic line up on Thursday evening is going to be one of the most interesting one in recent times.

Celtic have nothing to play for apart from a win or draw bonus from UEFA. The Celtic board will likely be pushing Ange to make sure there,s potential for a cash windfall at the end of the night.

From a footballing perspective, it’s a great time for Ange to rest some of the players he’s been overly reliant on since the beginning of the season and give some of the fringe players the chance to impress.

Liam Scales looks like a stick on to start against Real Betis is after coming off the bench against Dundee Utd to score on his SPFL debut.

Guys like Ismailia Soro, Albian Ajeti and dare I say Scott Bain might have the opportunity to do their bit on Thursday.

Given Celtic are already confirmed for the conference league, we predict a pretty low key event at Celtic Park this week.

With vital games coming up shortly and the small matter of a League Cup Final, this is the opportunity for Ange and the bhoys to take a breath.

  1. Fringe players Vs Financial reward. What do you think the suits will require??????

I thought as much, and as they say, it’s easier to get plasma from some hard compact aggregate.
