It’s deadline day so news is coming in thick and fast.

According to reports, Celtic are looking at bringing in Manchester City right-back Jeremie Frimpong on a PERMANENT deal.

Frimpong, 18, has spent the last three years in the Manchester City academy but is unlikely to make the breakthrough into Pep’s City side anytime soon. Celtic have likely been using their contacts at the EPL Champions for potential young players who can come in and make a difference.

SunSport have revealed the player is ‘poised’ to sign for Celtic before the deadline this evening. The transfer window closes at midnight this evening at which point any deals must be concluded.

Celtic have been trying to beef up their defensive ranks this summer losing so many.

If Frimpong came in, you would imagine he would be developed more before becoming a first-team player. Hatem Elhamed and Moritz Bauer are the two first-team right-backs at the club right now.
