CELTIC have posted a significant trading update with regards to the market’s expectations of the clubs finances for the next year.

The PLC statement outlines the club’s expectations ahead of June this year.

The statement makes it clear that a positive financial prediction is because of ‘a material’ compensation package paid to the club by Leicester for Brendan Rodgers and his backroom team.

With Celtic not making the Champions League this season, this would have seemed unlikely in the summer, but with the sale of Moussa Dembele, Stuart Armstrong, Virgil van Dijk sell on clause and now Rodgers compensation – it is set to be a very positive end of season review for Celtic on the books.

However, this news won’t be greeted as a massive bonus to Celtic fans who want to see news like this filter through into the team so we can improve and develop.

Celtic have the money to go and get a good manager in the summer if they wish and back them well – but will they?

  1. Celtic should be in talks with new management and should be in place by no latter than may, the new management, will be able to take part in arranged games over the holiday period,. and take stock of what is required, and be his own man with a contract that is fitting of a good manager. if a manager is offered a roll on contract ,he is not the guy I would want as we have had our belly full of that type before , it always ends in failure.
