Celtic flew out to Dubai on Saturday just hours after their Glasgow Derby defeat which saw them fall 19 points behind in the title race.

With no proper winter break to be had and a pandemic gripping the world, the club thought it was still a good idea to go ahead with a short trip away.

Neil Lennon made it clear it wasn’t a holiday for his struggling Celts.

If it wasn’t bad enough that they decided to go against common sense, an image doing the rounds tonight on social media is a PR disaster if it’s confirmed from this weekend.

We CAN’T be certain when this picture was taken but it shows Neil Lennon and Scott Brown sitting pool side enjoying a pint.

If this picture is from Sunday it’s another sorry episode in this season.

Some people will say they’re entitled to a break. However, given all the circumstances surrounding this season and the last nine months as a whole, it’s just not a good look.

Some Celtic fans have been reacting to the image.

  1. You are unbelievable.

Who the hell do you think you are?

It is of no concern to you what Neil Lennon, Scott Brown or any of the Celtic squad or staff get up to during their own time.

You don’t even know if the picture is genuine, but yet you couldn’t wait to post it up here and start pontificating.

    “… . . . .. and a pandemic gripping the world”

Do you even know the meaning of pandemic?

    It’s pretty obvious you don’t.

Yet here you are for the second day in a row with your shallow virtue signalling about something you know absolutely nothing about.

Someone needs to take the crayons off this idiot.

Has this website not got a content editor?

  2. Whatever Neil does, he himself likes to let go once in a while. I talked to him years ago outside Paradise, and he invited me to his car (A black BMW m3 with black glass) outside the main stand, and while I was at the open door talking to him and get a autograph for my nephew, Jackie McNamara jumped into the passenger side carrying two Big Macs and assorted chips, drinks. And sat in the back. And passed one to Neil and said ‘Gimme yer pen bud and I’ll sign first, as Neil’s eating his lunch’.
And then Neil put down his chips and signed too, and said ‘sorry about the mess’ (as my eyes wandered about his interior) ‘My car is my hiding place from the world’ and it looked like a bin outside McDonald’s. He is human and he and the squad don’t ask to be adored and followed about. Although back in summer 2003, nobody took much notice and security was quite lax. Compared with today.

  3. Dont know if photo is from this year or a previous year but as one of many disillusioned Celtic fans after this disaster of a season, I’d say we have every right to comment.
Personally its not something I would lose sleep over but equally I can see why many fans would find this objectionable.
A lot of money and emotion is invested in supporting Celtic and we are entitled to know how the club is functioning
