CELTIC are set to make a decent chunk of change thanks to their transfer policy over the past ten years.

Having already benefited from Victor Wanyama’s move to Spurs the Celtic hierarchy is well aware of the interest in their former defender Virgil van Dijk.

The Dutch defender who would always be put down by the fans now wanting him to sign for their club has taken the EPL by storm. This is no surprise to the Celtic fans who watched him play the majority of his Celtic games with a cigar in his mouth.

The clubs and figures involved in a potential move for the current Southampton player top £40 million with Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea desperate to bring the defender in this summer.

Celtic are believed to have 10% sell-on clause van Dijk’s contract when they sold him to Southampton two seasons ago. This will provide another cash boost for Brendan Rodgers when if/when the player makes a big money move.

Further proof that Celtic’s transfer policy can be a winner.
