Celtic now know they’ll face Aberdeen in LAST season’s Scottish Cup semi-final on November 1st.

The ties, which were originally scheduled for April will now take place seven months after they should have gone ahead.

The bizarre thing is Jonny Hayes will line up against Celtic when he would’ve most likely started the game for Celtic back in April.

Calls for the cup to be played to a finish were based on the argument it would raise funds with supporters being allowed into the game. Since then, we’ve seen the government quash the notion of any sort of crowd at the game.

While Celtic could rack up another treble with victory, it will actually hinder their involvement in the SPFL and put them behind on games with their closest rivals.

There’s also the possibility of a Celtic vs Hearts final where Craig Gordon could also line up against his former club.
