Even though Celtic’s priority is first-team stars this window, the bhoys are making sure they cover themselves and have as much talent in for the future as possible.

As Neil Lennon and Nicky Hammond mull over their options and Peter Lawwell gets on the phone to clubs about potential deals, the developmental side of things seems to be ticking over very well.

With that in mind, Celtic have reportedly made their first signing of this window by bringing in 15-year-old Bruno Davidson on a three-year deal.

RecordSport writes:

“Celtic have beaten off competition from Leicester City and West Ham to land talented teenager Bruno Davidson.

“The 15-year-old has tonight (Tuesday night) signed a three-year deal with the Hoops.”

Bruno played for Hutchison Vale in Edinburgh and was scouted by a lot of clubs including the aforementioned two Premier League sides.

Celtic stole the march on everyone and managed to land the talented youngster to continue their recruitment for the developmental side of things.

The club pick and choose when they make any high profile announcement about a January signing and so far they have kept this one under the radar.

Bruno joins a talented group of young Celts who are hungry to make the breakthrough at the club. There’s a lot of competition as these youngsters look for first team action – it can only be good for the club.
