CELTIC look set to cut their losses on flop nadir Ciftci this summer with the Turkish striker coming into the last year of his contract in May.

Nadir, currently on loan at Motherwell – his fourth loan club since joining Celtic under Ronny Deila.

2016 →  Eskişehirspor
2017 → Pogoń Szczecin
17–18 → Plymouth Argyle
2018– → Motherwell

Nadir has spoken recently about how Motherwell has given him a new lease of life and he would be open to a permanent move.

Celtic are very open to the idea of Nadir moving on and are willing to accept a nominal fee for the player come the summer if Motherwell or any other club is interested in him.

Ciftci came into Celtic after a good run of form at Dundee Utd but never managed to get going. Signed under Ronny Deila the player quickly found life tough in the East End of Glasgow and hasn’t been able to live up to his early promise at Tannadice.

The 26-year-old is desperate to get a permanent move in the summer, with the club reportedly so open to a deal it seems that it’ll happen sooner rather than later.

  1. The question is: Can any other SPL team pay him the wage he gets from Celtic? If not he’ll stay and run out his contract unless there’s another loan deal with Celtic paying a percentage of his wages.
