Every Celtic fan knows Odsonne Edouard will depart Celtic shortly. The mystery is to where and for how much.
The Times think they’ve cracked it this weekend and believe the Frenchman is on his way to the English Premier League to reunite with his former Hoops boss, Brendan Rodgers.
It seems feasible that this would be the case but the fee being reported seems on the low side. The Times claims £15m is enough for Celtic to part ways with Eddy, I’d like to think it’s nearer £20m, but time will tell.
Celtic have a major rebuild on their hands and every penny counts towards the shake up.
I don’t think there’s a position in the team at the moment that doesn’t need strengthened or needs more depth. It will be up to the new manager to figure out what he needs most, because as much as we probably need 8-12 players, bringing so many in at the one time could prove disastrous.
Ange Postecoglou looks like the man who will spearhead the rebuild. It’s not something for the weak of heart and there will be a lot of bumps along the way.
