Celtic have recalled youngster, Scott Robertson from his loan spell at English League 1 side, Gillingham.

As reported by Sun Sport, Robertson had a successive spell on loan under Gillingham manager Steve Evans featuring 19 times after going on what was supposed to be a season-long loan down south.

However, after the situation in the last few days, the 19-year old has been recalled by the club and could go into the squad for Saturday’s game against Livingston with tonight’s fixture coming too early for him.

Having watched Robertson from afar this season he is probably the loan player I have been most impressed with.

His style of play is very similar to that of Callum McGregor in my opinion and could be a first-team player at some point in the near future for Celtic.

With the season we have had, I wouldn’t have any concerns over Robertson going into the side and frankly don’t see why he shouldn’t be given the chance in there. If that isn’t the case though, I really wouldn’t understand the point of recalling him.
