Tonight it has been announced that Hibs have been granted more tickets for the Premier Sports Cup Final tie, despite originally being allocated 17,500. [Daily Record]

Hampden will now host just under 20,000 Hibees will be in attendance at the national stadium later this month. This is just under the 50/50 split the Edinburgh we’re hoping for.

This comes as bad news to Celtic fans with many who have attended all three rounds of the cup miss out on seeing their team face off to win the trophy.

For a Celtic fan it is frustrating to see a side who couldn’t take 10,000 to the semi final against the other big side be permitted such an allocation.

Hibs season ticket holders were able to snap up extra tickets before they went on to general sale. Therefore those who have not made the effort to follow their team this season are being unfairly awarded.

The deadline for those lucky supporters on Celtic’s HCTS to claim their seat is Friday at 5pm  It is still unknown how many seats will be left and how they will be distributed.
