According to Sky Sports, the offer is structured as a loan with an obligation to buy.

Celtic were approached in the summer with a £10 million bid, before the Dane signed a new deal, but rejected the offer. It’s believed it would need to take a record-breaking fee for Celtic to sell him.

O’Riley, whose performances for Celtic have attracted attention, is also on the radar of LaLiga leaders Girona, showcasing the broad interest in his services across top European leagues.

Despite this growing interest, Celtic finds itself in a robust negotiating position, thanks in part to O’Riley’s recent contract extension in September.

Brendan Rodgers regards O’Riley as a vital component of his team. The midfielder’s ability to influence games has made him a standout player, and his new contract further cements his importance to the club’s strategy and success.

He’s been a vital player this season, getting amongst the goals and assists. Losing him could be catastrophic to Celtic’s season.

  1. Agent written all over it, Agent trying desperately line his pockets.
Players on a contract need to honour those contracts until final year of their deal.
Agents should be banned from any talks until that final year, unless its to gain a better deal with current club.

  2. Not sure what all the fuss is about, we all know there is zero chance of him or any feature player leaving this window. We all know ever player has a price and we will sell if the price and time is right. He will most likely leave this summer. Celtic are not stupid and this all add to his value the more interested the greater the value. We need to win the league which is the main target and priority to strengthen the team. Even if the bid £30M it will not be accepted. Champions League is a guaranteed £35M so why through away the chance of that for £30M if you can have both
