ANGE POSTECOGLOU is confident that his side can recover from Saturday’s match in time for Wednesday’s trip to Leipzig.

It’s a busy schedule ahead for Celtic, with the team commonly playing twice a week. The lack of energy at stages on Saturday has left some fans concerned; however, it just wasn’t a great day for Celtic, who, in fairness, got the job done.

It wasn’t the prettiest match, but the three points mean that Celtic maintain their lead at the top of the table.

Responding to being questioned if the team could recover in time for Wednesday, Postecoglou responded.

“Yeah, well, we have to recover well because this is only the first game of 13.

“We know what the schedule’s like but we’ve worked really hard to this point to get the guys ready for it and we’ll recover after today and I’m sure they will be.”  [The Celtic Way]

RB Leipzig were also in action on Saturday, winning their match 4-0. Although, the opposition have just one point after eight games. Timo Werner and Christopher Nkunku both got a brace, these two are the danger men for Wednesday’s match in Germany; keeping these two quiet will be challenging for the Celtic defence.
