Celtic took the opportunity to add Kolo Toure to their Champions League squad before Tuesday night’s deadline.

While the defender will play no part in the away tie, because of Celtic’s current defensive injury crises he may play in the home leg next week.

Celtic were hanging off on registering Kolo for this round, hoping they were going to get one of their targets in who were a bit more up to speed but as they have yet to finalise any more deals the experienced defender could make his debut at Celtic Park.

Celtic play the first leg of the tie today at 3pm against Astana and are hoping to take a positive result back to Glasgow.
