The Celtic board have this evening released a statement giving their full backing to manager Neil Lennon and his coaching staff.

Within this statement, the board also said that the coaching staff and the team will be backed and it will be reviewed in January.

Neil Lennon and his squad have come under heavy criticism recently, after going on a run of just two wins in 12 games. That includes results such two 4-1 loss to Sparta Prague home and away, being knocked out the League Cup at home to Ross County and most recently drawing 1-1 to fall further behind in the league against St Johnstone.

All of this and we still remain in the same position with the same man in charge.

The fact that the large majority of fans are calling for a change in the management position and are at this stage being told, no it everything will be alright with a bit of hope.

It really has got to an unacceptable level and now feels like the boards legacy rests on this.
