CELTIC have released a statement after Kris Boyd implied that the Ibrox Side’s players should have been causing further damage to Callum McGregor’s injury.

Writing in The Sun, the former Rangers man said;

‘LOOK AT CELTIC. CALLUM MCGREGORPLAYED WITH A FRACTURED CHEEKBONE.

‘THE FACT HE MANAGED TO GET THROUGH THE 90 MINUTES WITHOUT ANYONE TESTING OUT THAT FACE MASK IS ANOTHER STORY, BUT HIS COMMITMENT TO THE TEAM WAS TREMENDOUS.’ [SUNSPORT

In response to these shocking comments, Celtic have said that the “matter is currently being addressed by the club.”

The comments were not only deemed to be fine to publish by Kris Boyd, but an editor approved these comments.

A pundit with the role to cover matches for the biggest television company in Scotland should not be coming out with such comments. Sky Sports, his employer, should think long and hard before allowing viewers to have the match ‘analysed’ by Boyd.

Callum McGregor risked his wellbeing playing through the serious injury he sustained, his last worry should be an opponent deliberately attempting to cause him further harm.

It is good to see the club take a stance and defend the player. Let’s hope a positive outcome is met and Kris Boyd is dealt with accordingly.

  1. The next time (yes his employers will forgive him for keeping the poor side of Ibrix happy) they should tell the bad hairpiece wearing ‘Tic tack teef’ cun7, to wipe his anus and stand well away from his chanty po.
    Guys a plump, sad, shell suit, brown brogue wearing DOB.

    And should keep his masonic thoughts to herself.
